We are excited to be hosting Ian Fisher (USA) and Jon shaban (SA) who will be touring SA extensively before doing a pit stop here at Rootspring House as part of their CT appearance.
Having gigged extensively locally and internationally as part of various bands, Jon Shaban has decided to try something slightly scarier – a solo career. Armed with just his voice and his guitar, he takes to the stage to deliver songs which have been described as honest and easy to relate to. The performance is raw and there’s no holding back on the sharing of extremely personal experiences. The kind we’ve all been through but haven’t necessarily processed in the way Jon does.
A prolific songwriter and touring musician, raised on a farm in the US, living in Europe, with over 1000 songs and just as many concerts behind him. Ian traded his Viennese life for a short stint in New York City then a flat in Berlin, Germany, that would enable him to tour full time and he’s been counting train tracks ever since. After hundreds of concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland, and the U.S., a dozen albums or so, and upwards of 1200 songs, Ian has found a refrain. Like a dusty record, it spins endlessly: the road, the road, the road.
